Research is a top priority at the School of Business Administration (ECIEM). Seventy-five percent of our full-time professors possess a doctoral degree and the remainder has Master's degrees—well above the national average of compared units.
This academic body carries out research in prioritized disciplinary areas such as Management, Strategy, Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Economic Development, Natural Resources and Environment, and Technology and Information Systems. Scholars also develop applied studies that are relevant to both regional and local organizations and the Government. The Secretary for Research & Engagement at ECIEM is the higher order structure in charge of the school’s research and outreach activities. Its roles include, among others, establishing research priorities and managing actions, plans, and policies to meet high quality standards in research. It is also in charge of developing outreach programs to address the needs of our community.
